How to borrow your first container?

Download the free Cano mobile app and create your user profile in 40 seconds.
2. Scan
Borrow reusable items by scanning the QR code directly on them.
3. Borrow
Complete your borrow by scanning the QR code at checkout.
4. Validate
Show your confirmation screen to the cashier before leaving.
How to return your container?
1. Scan
To initiate a return, scan the QR code on the reusable item you previously borrowed.
2. Validate
Complete the return by scanning the QR code on the collection bin.
3. Return
Drop the reusable container you borrowed in the collection bin.
4. Earn
Earn points when you return your container in less than 48 hours and get rewarded!

No worries! Every user is granted an emergency return if that happens.
Visit the “Menu” tab;
Click on “History”;
Under the “In use” tab, click on the container you wish to return;
Click on “Emergency return”;
Select “I forgot to scan my container” and then confirm;
Your container will be automatically returned. It works like magic!
If you have already used your unique emergency return, please contact us.

Cano is free for users. No deposit fees are requested.

To borrow more than one containers at a time, you will need to sign up to Cano Pro with your credit card information. Cano Pro allows you to borrow up to 20 containers and is free as long as you return your containers within 14 days.
You can use Cano without a credit card, but you will only be able to borrow 1 container and will have to return this container before using a new one.

No! Our partners take care of cleaning the containers in high-temperature dishwashers and make sure they fall back into circulation.
However, we do ask that you please empty (preferably compost) any leftover food or drink before returning your containers.

You have 14 days to return your container once you borrowed it. However, you can only collect points if you return your container within 48 hours.
